GIVING
“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” – Proverbs 19:17
Tithing is defined as giving the first ten percent of our income back to God. It’s a way to worship God by showing Him that we trust His promises and a way to protect our hearts from greed. When we bring our first and best back to God, He promises to bless the rest. God is the source of all blessings; all that we have and are, we owe to Him. Therefore, as people who are in a covenant relationship with Christ, we are to serve Him joyfully with our time, talents, and material possessions; and should recognize all these as entrusted to us to use for the glory of God and for helping others. We know tithing is a huge step of obedience, but there is no organization with more potential to change the world than the local church!
IN PERSON
You can give your tithes and offerings when the offering bags are passed throughout the sanctuary. You may simply place cash or checks in the envelopes found in the back of your chairs and drop them off in the offering bags. Be sure to include your name and address on the check or envelope, so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes.
ONLINE
For your convenience, we have set up a secure online giving and text-to-give system. The link below can be used to access our online giving page and easily pay tithes, give an offering, or simply make a donation. We hope this will be a viable and easy to use option for those who prefer electronic payment options or those who may not have access to cash or checks regularly. To access the online giving option, simply click on the ONLINE GIVING button below. This will take you to our secure online giving system. Here you will be able to choose your giving amount, payment method (debit/credit or bank account), and if this is a one-time gift or recurring (weekly, monthly, etc).
BY TEXT
You may use our Text-to-Give system to pay tithes, give offerings, or make any contribution. Simply text your gift amount to 931.272.3303. Once the text is sent, you will receive a message with a link to supply payment method information. After this initial use, you will no longer have to enter payment information, but simply text your gift amount to the number above.
BY MAIL
You may mail your donation to Busby Church, 19 Busby Road, Loretto, TN 38469. Be sure to include your name and address on the check or envelope so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes.
